Moraine Lake. Banff. A few years ago, a huge winter storm rolled through Banff, in mid September. I was there to chase the larches but it snowed a foot overnight. With a bit of luck and perfect timing I was able to watch a sunrise at Moraine lake all by myself. Normally there are hundreds of people battling it out to get a spot, but for this special sunrise, I got the Valley of the Ten peaks all to myself. Truly, a once in a lifetime opportunity, that I will forever cherish.
