Hello Everyone, This is a Caucasus photo taken in the highest settlement of Europe. It’s a multiple exposure photo taken at sunrise. I took this photo on the day I started my recognition walk for the next morning. I needed to reach the summit before sunrise, so it needed a first recognition hike. It was a good idea because there was no indication and I got lost the first time and ended up walking 2 times more to get to the summit. If that would have happened the next day, I would have wasted my sunrise moment at the top of the mountain! That morning I could get a few compositions of the village at sunrise and it’s always a nice booster to start a demanding hike! This village is definitely one of my favorite places in the all Caucasus trip even if anachronism starts to appear here and there in the village (as I wrote last time). The first night I slept close to the first settlement and the second night more apart and closer to the glacier. This would be behind the village! I must admit that the second spot was more of a delight. After the hike, I moved the car, ate a “Chakapuli” : traditional herbed lamb/veal stew (very rich! But needed after the hike!) and spent all the afternoon chilling, enjoying the view. The only thing I missed from the first spot is that I had the company of a lovely female dog that followed me everywhere! Two new dogs came to say “Hi” but did not stay! C’est la vie! Cheers!
