Once In A Blue Moon! by Sunil

This super full moon rising photograph is the result of some research and planning. Perfect reflection of the coconut palm trees in the backwaters of Aleppey, Kerala became my premium choice for a location. Bit of research in to an almanac concluded that the second super full moon in 2021 rises at 1714 hrs on 26 May. And I was there! Rest of the story is all about processing for moonlight.
Oh, btw, a Super Full Moon takes place when the Moon is near its closest perigee approach to Earth. This happens to be the closest supermoon of the year, sitting at a distance of 222,116.6 miles from Earth. Also, “Syzygy” is the astronomical term used for, when three or more celestial bodies (such as the Sun, the Moon, and Earth) line up. And also, Syzygy is the one of the longest words without a vowel !
