QUAVERING TIMES by Bruno Soares
QUAVERING TIMES by Bruno Soares
Suddenly, the weather changed, already in the sleepless night, I felt that a big change was coming. We woke up early and went out to photograph the landscape at dawn, but everything was different. We came out with nothing… Back on the road, I started to feel that the day was going to be really long. Driving a caravan, with the sound of the best music there can be, there we went. And then the alert came. Winds of 120 km / h with gusts of 180 km / h would take over Icelandic territory.
The adventure had just begun. And like that, we travelled more than 300 km / h trying to keep the car in the wind, stopping whenever we had to, and, always respecting the rules, we would then arrive at our destination safely! It was already close to the end of the day that, stopping at the magnificent Oxararfoss, I contemplated something I had not seen before; the waterfall was flying! And there I was, reflecting on how, even though it had to adapt, that magnificent force of nature did not stop spouting its water keeping the river flowing until its mouth! And once again, I realized. It is with resilience and a positive spirit that, even with very quavering times, we manage to continue walking and enjoying our beautiful journey that is life!
