Cattle in the Fairytale Forest of Madeira by Michael Voss
Another impression from Madeira’s fairytale forest, located on a plateau in the interior of the island. To prevent the landscape from becoming overgrown, a herd of cattle has been brought here to keep the landscape open between the laurel trees. The animals are absolutely peaceful, you don’t have to be afraid if you keep quiet and don’t annoy them. I wish all our farm animals had a life like that. But they are unfortunately only an exception. Many animals have to suffer endlessly because we want to consume them for a cheap price. I hope that there will soon be a change in thinking.
