Suffocation by Ryan Dyar

Lava flowing into the waters of the Pacific Ocean at sunrise. No matter how many times I have photographed the sporadic lava flows on Hawaii’s Big Island, I’ll never not be fascinated by watching an island grow right before my eyes… followed by watching my waistline grow before my eyes while eating some of my favorite food in the world. Hawaii never disappoints. This image shows several fingers of lava flowing underneath a large plume of steam and gas while the molten lava underneath the water breaks away, floats, then creates steam on the surface of the ocean. It’s a truly otherworldly sight to behold. You can learn how I create my images at www.ryandyar.com 👍👍 Thank you for taking a look at this photo.
