I had woken up very early that day. I wanted to see the sunrise once again! It was still night when I went out into the street and quickly realized … she was announcing herself. I knew that quickly, and with all her fury, she would arrive. And I ran, I went as quickly as I could to this magical place that I had planned to contemplate that morning! The clouds kept up with the speed of my car, and while looking at them I could also see the rain falling. But it had to go, I was about to meet Ribeira da Janela, and once there, I was going to be happy! And it was amazing how as soon as I got out of the car and started walking there, the vibrant colours began, without any shame, exploding in the sky, bringing with them the magnificent Sun! And so it was! The storm would come with all its might and I would flee from there, but not before bringing all that dramatic beauty with me! If Madeira Island is already wonderful, that morning it was ecstatic!
