There’s just nothing quite like New Zealand. There I was, with my small group of photographers and local guide on my yearly tour to the island which is focused on exploration and new locations. We had helicoptered into a remote stretch of coastline with a pilot friend which was located dozens of miles from the nearest track, road or property. This coastline is the best on the entire South Island if you ask me, and turning around, at our backs, was this incredible fern forest with morning mist from the cooler air over the land settling in to catch the beams. We raced around all over the place to capture it as the sun rose ever higher, illuminating the lush details near our makeshift camp for the evening. It’s no wonder I can never stop returning here!
