Greenland Tours I waited a little bit after sunrise until the sun just hit the mountain face. There was some fresh snowfall the nigh before which made the mountain look much better and there was an avalanche around every 30 min. – which is what you see on the distant mountain. The Peruvian summer last during the winter months – June, July and august – it is called summer because of the sunny and dry weather. The actual summer months are clouded with rain every day.
