Forced myself out of bed at 5am yesterday for some much needed silence and sunrise solitude… Turns out there was no visible sunrise, but the alternative somehow seemed even better: Dark moody skies, wispy fog clinging to the mountainsides, the air so still it seemed as if the world was on pause… the only giveaway being the sound of birdsong and Pepper’s toenails clacking on the dock above the lakeside. In these moments, everything else falls away and I find myself in my purest form of contentment and happiness. You can’t see it, but as I was shooting this it started to rain a very light mist… only when I turned my face up towards the sky, I could feel it.
