The Furie is the last steam-powered tugboat in The Netherlands,Safely underway,in 1916 at a shipyard in the province of Groningen, she served until well into the seventies as a tug for the paper industry in Sweden. Then she was purchased for a role in the legendary television series “Hollands Glorie”, a book by Jan de Hartog. In 1978 bought by the Foundation Hollands Glorie Maassluis and since then she sails under the Dutch flag again. Nowadays she is stationed in the old Harbor of Maassluis.
