> Behind the scenes video: ow.ly/pszF1000zLj It took us a while, but it’s all finished now. All footage was shot at night in 8K, so where you think you see the sun it’s actually the moon. We photographed at three locations in Namibia and one in Botswana. The online version of the time-lapse is not 8K, because your computer would get very angry and then explode. 8K is really, really big. Soon after it appeared online, we received a ton of emails from people who wanted to know about our experience with the D850 in the field, and about how Hercules Rising was made. If you are one of those people, then you will enjoy my latest blog post, Behind Hercules: ow.ly/acQU100SI8v This particular image is a still from the Hercules Rising time-lapse and it shows the zodiacal light. That’s pretty special, because there’s usually too much light pollution to see it. A big thank you to Nikon for choosing me for this prestigious project, Daniella for all her help and support, Awi Rabelista for the behind the scenes video, and special thanks to Nikon, EIZO, LaCie, Dynamic Perception, Orfos, LensCoat, and StormJacket.
