When I visited Slovenia for 5 days, I realized that it’s just 3-4 hours to drive to beautiful Plitvice lakes. Surely I didn’t miss opportunity to see this amazing place in it’s Autumn glory! I got up at 4:30 am and started to walk all around the park in the night excited to meet first rays of light inside the park. Normally you can reach this waterfall easy by ferry or bus, but to avoid crowds I needed this “night special operation”. And I didn’t regret: there was just insane explosion of colors everywhere! October definitely is the best time to visit Plitvice falls in Croatia.
