Gusts of Wind by Ole Henrik Skjelstad

Our (Dag Ole Nordhaug and I) first evening in Romsdalen became a battle against strong wind and wind gusts with a storm’s strength which meant we had to lean, at times heavily, against the wind and never let go of our tripods. It is basically a small miracle that this 30 sec exposure survived the rather harsh conditions. An almost full moon was rising up behind Romsdalshorn and its light was reflected in the clouds which again cast light on the river we used as a foreground. To shoot a lengthy exposure for the shadows was out of the question in the strong wind, but the Pentax provided the shadow detail I needed.
