INSTAGRAM The coldest night outdoors in winter season 2016/2017 has been : tadaaaa … right … in early spring 2017 hahahaha … though next to no snow on 2222m in Trentino the thermometer showed -20°C with gusts of wind up to 60km/h. Quite comfy conditions for taking a panorama! At least we were rewarded with some big shooting stars of the April´s Lyrids meteor shower. You can see a big one right above the peak of the majestic Cimon della Pala.
The April Lyrids are a meteor shower lasting from April 16 to April 26 each year. The radiant of the meteor shower is located in the constellation Lyra, near this constellation’s brightest star, Alpha Lyrae (proper name Vega). Their peak is typically around April 22 each year.
