The Push Up by Timothy Poulton
One of the constraints of my old Nikon Schneider set up for panorama imagery was always low light photography, i.e., Astro, Aurora, it would get especially frustrating when you’re in Norway, and the Northern Lights are crazy in the sky, or the stars are popping in a night sky. The GFX is such a light hungry beast you can do just about anything with the camera. I find that even the overexposed shots are recoverable, and the dynamic range allowed me to capture scenes with next to zero light. The Fujinon GF 23mm f4 R LM WR can’t come soon enough as the 32-64mm just isn’t wide enough for tighter scenes and will almost complete my landscape lens collection. I almost feel like I’m cheating a little capturing only a single frame for panoramic imagery as I’m so used to multiple frames. Super long exposures, star trails, almost anything is now a reality and no more stitching errors. Now, if I could find a telephoto lens that is pin sharp, I would be set.
