[Western Arthurs blog post] One of the reasons why I posted the last image with the ‘fake light’ was a prelude to light like this which is 100% real. Sometimes, I feel that photography is transforming more into an appreciation of the end product alone rather than nature and being out there. Personally, I think the ‘realism’ sets photography apart from other artistic media while the fine art side of it ironically pulls it back together with other art forms. You may well disagree but it’s somewhat of an ‘artist statement’ I feel I should make from time to time so you can understand where we come from. [The everlook action and other tutorials]
