Mountains are unforgiving places and need to be respected, many times I’ve been caught out capturing majestic peaks around the world. Until you’ve experienced the indiscriminate power and brutal changes in weather, it’s hard to comprehend. As a photographer that’s what I’m looking for, changing conditions. If it were all blue skies, you wouldn’t capture beautiful moments like this, when after 3 hours standing around shrouded by clouds in subzero conditions the peak of the Matterhorn reveals itself for the first time in 2 days.
