YouTube Hires Industry Guru Lyor Cohen As Their Global Head Of MusicYouTube has hired 30-year music industry executive Lyor Cohen as its global head of music in an effort to shore up its relationships with record companies and artists. After first helping to develop Def Jam from the label’s infancy as its eventual president, he left to run Warner Music Group before starting his own label, 300 Entertainment. Cohen is leaving 300 Entertainment, home to Young Thug and Fetty Wap, on December 5 to take the position.
