Private Workshops Deep in the impossibly lush Queets Rainforest of Olympic National Park, Washington. As you may know from my previous image “Sanctuary”, I spent a few days backpacking in here earlier this year, with my buddies Ted Gore and TJ Thorne. I have to partially credit Ted for this image, because as we were wandering around this grove, I heard him mention “there’s a zigzag around here”. I didn’t know quite what he meant at first, but indeed there was! This was shot days later, when the light was fortunately spotlighting the central tree, thus simplifying the chaotic scene enough to make it work.
