Sajama was our last stop in Bolivia. My expedition route led us to Lauca park in Chile. We crossed the busy pass to Lauca early in the morning, avoiding crazy numbers of trucks. Here I changed a car from Bolivian Land Cruiser to Nissan Patrol. Lauca is a beautiful place if you turn offroad. We had incredible offroad adventures climbing even up to 4800 m in Lauca! Here is one of amazing spots we reached the first evening: overlooking Pomerape and Parinacota volcanoes. What you see on foreground is called yareta, it’s very strange plant growing everywhere in Lauca. It reminds me of a Shrek movie 🙂
