The BBC Proms, an eight-week summer season of classical concerts performed predominantly at The Albert Hall in London, England, starts on July 15 and runs through September 10. New music is an important element of the BBC Proms 2016 season. Thirty premieres in total will be performed, of which 13 will be world premieres and 17 UK or London premieres.
