The Man Behind the Opera House by Timothy Poulton

To celebrate the upcoming movie about this amazing building I’ve been going through some of my old sessions. On this morning with the Queen Mary slinging into Sydney we captured one of the most stunning sunrises I’ve ever witnessed. It amazes me that Jorn Utzon, the man behind the Opera House quit in 1966 and never returned to see his revolutionary concept as a finished building. With our election debacle, it doesn’t surprise me that bureaucracy gets in the way of creativity.
One of the most iconic buildings in the world and the tragic story of a genius robbed of his creation. All you round at sunrise the White Sails of Sydney come alive with it’s people and the day.
