In a post on his website, the British guitarist claims he received "an avalanche of complaints" from fans after the presumptive Republican presidential candidate played the Queen hit "We Are The Champions" at a recent event. "This is not an official Queen statement, but I can confirm that permission to use the track was neither sought nor given," writes the musician.
