Thunder Gods by Elia Locardi
Thunder Gods by Elia Locardi
One night in Venice, we stood in place – transfixed by the beauty of an incoming turbulent thunder storm… A few moments later though, that fascination led to our clothing and camera gear being soaked to the core. 😉 Though I’ve made many trips to Venice over the years, it’s a city that always provides me with something new – whether that’s something photography related or just simply an experience. I believe that this ancient Italian city has a pulse, a heartbeat, a soul – and with its profound mix of old world charm and new, it’s easy to understand why I’m drawn here time and again. On this particular night, I remember feeling the cool breeze as the pressure and temperature dropped with the incoming squall. I obviously knew that staying here would result in getting drenched but I just couldn’t help myself. I wanted to watch the lightning as it illuminated the ancient structures. To learn the techniques I used to shoot and post-process this image, you can find all the info about my new tutorial video series by visiting: fstoppers.com/elialocardi.
