Italian Dolomites Workshop with Erin Babnik 2017 Big Island and Kauai Workshop, December 2016 Eastern Sierra Workshop with Erin Babnik 2017 Behind The Scenes Processing Video Series A painstaking slog through the thick, poison oak infested brush of the Columbia River Gorge will reveal hidden little gems like this one my friend TJ Thorne and I visited last spring while on a break between the workshops we lead in the area every spring. Trying avoid the poison oak is a futile effort, and despite my best attempts to do so, I brushed up against the leaves more times than I could count. I waited for days afterwords for it to start… the itching… the blisters. But, somehow, I got lucky and made it out clean. I’m sure the full scrub down with that special soap helped! Praise to the miracle that is modern medicine. Regardless of all of that, I did still have to pluck an embedded tick off of my abdomen that I found while scrubbing down afterwords. Par for the course! At least all of the trouble was worth coming away with an image I enjoy.
