The Quiet Wilderness by Marsel van Oosten

This is the color version of one of the images from my black and white series ‘Into The Cypress Swamps’ that won me the overall title in the Travel Photographer of the Year competition a few months ago. I had gotten so used to seeing the black and white version, that I almost forgot what the color one looked like. It turns out that I like the color version better as a stand alone shot, but I prefer the black and white shot as part of a series. This was shot from a kayak on a misty morning just after sunrise.
