The Church in the Stone
in the middle of a rocky hill there is a narrow opening with a Church : The Church of San Pantaleone @ Sambuca
Sambuca is the smallest and less populous fraction of the Municipality of San Romano in Garfagnana. It dates back to the tenth century as the year of foundation, but his church is more recent, having been built in 1444. The building has remained intact to this day and it houses a precious altar of Emilian painter Simone Carretta.
