As everyone who experiences them must, I found the Badlands in South Dakota to possess a majesty and a beauty not to be found anywhere else. The soft muted colors are such a surprise to the eye, as are the jagged prominences that stand defiant against the powers of erosion. Watch out for the prairie dogs, though…they carry plague! Best viewed on black, of course, and thanks for your kind visit!
