Lake Mackenzie, New Zealand. Please view on a black background. Of all the places I visited in NZ the most spectacular for me was Fiordland National Park. In particular Lake Mackenzie, on the famous Routeburn Track, where after a day of hiking in pouring rain I was greeted to this beautiful scene. Complete with waterfalls pouring down the mountains and colourful autumn foliage.
Technically this was a frustrating shoot. I was having a lot of problems with my lens fogging up which made for a tricky blend. 4 exposures were used for the blend then a fair amount of contrast/luminosity work to get it to this stage.
