By Corina Pons CARACAS (Reuters) – Struggling to contain an economic crisis and an opposition push to remove him, Venezuela's socialist leader Nicolas Maduro has launched a radio show devoted to salsa music in an effort to cheer the nation and boost his faltering image. Maduro, a music aficionado who used to play in a rock band, debuted "Salsa Hour" this month and has broadcast four episodes from a radio booth specially installed in the Miraflores presidential palace, with each episode lasting several hours. "This is a program full of energy and joy," said Maduro, 53, in one show, headphones on as he drummed his fingers and spun classics of the Caribbean rhythm.

The Dancing Skies by Lizzy Gadd
This particular night from a few weeks ago in Iceland was the first time I had ever seen the northern lights flare up so brightly and dance across the entire sky for hours. It was so unreal all I could do between snapping photos was stare up at the sky and laugh and cry. After the first hour or so of shooting I put the camera down and wandered all around the landscape for a couple hours by only the light of the aurora, singing and dancing (quite terribly I’m sure) and really not having a care in the world, just simply enjoying the surreal experience of wandering through such a strange, quiet and empty landscape with a sky so alive right above me. It was a little weird and exciting and terrifying and beautiful all at once. I can still hardly believe this can be real.
