By Melissa Fares NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. pop star Taylor Swift, boy band One Direction and British singer Adele were the highest paid musicians in the world this year, Forbes magazine said on Wednesday. With earnings of $170 million from touring, recordings, endorsements and other income, Swift, 26, earned the title of 2016's highest paid musician. She pulled in a gross total of more than $200 million on the North American portion of her "1989" world tour. …

According to reports from Time Out Los Angeles, Beyoncé, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are set to headline next year's Coachella festival. If these rumors are true, it would be Radiohead's third time headlining the event, and Beyonce's first solo appearance, after previously appearing on stage with husband Jay-Z and sister Solange. For Lamar it would mark the singer's first time headline performance at the festival, after performing previously in 2012 and 2016.

Plans for a documentary and a festival honoring the late singer Prince have been revealed this week, while a recent record deal suggests more of Prince's music might soon see the light of day. Michael Kirk (of upcoming documentary "Find Your Groove") is producing and directing "Prince: R U Listening," which will reportedly be released in 2017. Some of the iconic musician's bandmates, friends and family are to participate in the film, including guitarist Dez Dickerson and bassist Andre Cymone, who was a close friend of the artist.

Pedro Almodovar's entire back catalogue is now available on iTunes reports Variety. All 19 of the Spanish director's films are now available as part of "The Complete Pedro Almodovar Collection" on the Apple streaming service. Nine of the films are available in high definition for the first time in the United States, with the director's first two films, "Pepi, Luci, Bom" and "Labyrinth of Passion," making their domestic debut.

Mabel Gray chef James Rigato and WDET’s Essential Music host Ann Delisi have launched a new podcast, Culinary Remix. “Food is sustenance for the body and music is food for the soul,” Rigato says in a release. During the first season, recorded this fall, the pair discuss everything from how to cook squash to the history of jerk chicken and Rigato’s journey through culinary school.
