Manarola may be the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, with the cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dating from 1338. The local dialect is Manarolese, which is marginally different from the dialects in the nearby area. The name “Manarola” is probably a dialectical evolution of the Latin, “magna rota”. In the Manarolese dialect this was changed to “magna roea” which means “large wheel”, in reference to the mill wheel in the town.

While Hideo Kojima and the rest of Kojima Productions are still a long way off from delivering their first video game as a new studio, that’s not stopping them from giving hardcore fans what they want: stuff to buy. In addition to merchandise and high-end action figures, Kojima Productions will also release a 12-inch single featuring the music of Death Stranding — or, more specifically, its trailers — from Icelandic band Low Roar. Low Roar’s “I’ll Keep Coming” and “Easy Way Out” will be released on vinyl, thanks to a collaboration between the band, Kojima Productions, PlayStation and Mondo.
