Freeze and Burn by Daniel Herr
Freeze and Burn by Daniel Herr
I freeze and burn, love is bitter and sweet, my sighs are tempests and my tears are floods, I am in ecstasy and agony, I am possessed by memories and I am in exile from myself. (Francesco Petrarca)

Remnants by William Patino
Remnants by William Patino
After two weeks straight of running workshops, I had one last night in Iceland before heading home. I decided to forsake the much needed sleep once more and headed out to the coast to catch the dawn with my friends. We shared some laughs, sat in silence before the sea, grabbed a coffee and then departed ways to different parts of the world. Photography has given me so much to be grateful for.

Dawn’s Soft Glow by Lizz...
Dawn’s Soft Glow by Lizzy Gadd
On such a soft pink morning
From deep sleep did I wake
To see cold glacier glowing The campervan I must forsake
To run with wild abandon
Across rock and ice carefree
To find a place to stand in
And take a freezing selfie
Light turns from pink to gold
Bringing day as sun won’t wait
Back I dash with feet so cold
Breakfast of chocolate I then ate. -Spontaneous poetry by yours truly

Amazing storm and lightning storm outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming last Spring chasing with my good friends. Stood out in the middle of this field for a while enjoying the silence. Was rewarded with multiple cloud to ground strikes during blue hour. Hope you enjoy 🙂

Mirror Lake by The Narratograp...
Mirror Lake by The Narratographer
al-y-Llyn lake is situated in the Welsh district of Gwynedd, at the southern foot of the Snowdonia mountain range. I stumbled upon it purely by accident, having gotten lost on my way somewhere else. On the morning I found it, at around 5.30am a couple of days ago, it was as calm as a graveyard. Slowly, before the sun made an appearance to the right of frame, the clouds were lit a deep, burnt orange.
All of the colours in this image are original. This is not an HDR or had any editing (apart from sharpening) at all. I wanted to capture a little movement in the sky and the water, without turning it completely to milk. So, instead of using my Big Stopper, which would have resulted in an exposure time of around 4 minutes, I instead used a trio of ND grads, one of which I inverted, in order to balance the exposure but keep it within an acceptable range.
