A fall storm approaches Gothic Mountain and light up its aspen gold trees… the fall colors, the fresh air, what a bliss. Thank you all for your continuous support!

Several times this past year I have been out exploring the territories around Coyote Buttes with groups as a part of my 3-state trips which feature off the beaten track locations in the Southwest, where the sandstone possibilities are limitless and new perspectives are always available. A while back I came across this spot which I had never been to previously, and I have since returned to shoot. I was very impressed with how the lines and towers came together. I liked the composition here better than anything else I’ve seen in this region, and the light, well, it was pretty good. These skies have been following us around for a couple weeks now for some reason. Hope you enjoy. Oh, this is 2 vertical photos stitched for landscape/sky and two for just sky. The reason it is stitched this way is perspective control – making the most of the natural peripheral distortion the lens offered in this situation.

Personal online lessons. I will share everything I know about natural light, composition, retouching and colors. I found my own way in retouching, you will be surprised how simple it is. All you need to know is Photoshop basics (you can be an absolute beginner). I dont use frequency separations, masks and any complicated methods. It’s really simple and very fast. Usually, it’s only 10-30 minutes of work with one photo. And the result is good enough for covers! Write me by email for personal online lessons – outofsight@mail.ru
