the east was just giving up all kinds of color on our 4 visits to the boulders… here is the last sunset afterwhich we went back for the milkyway at 4am… and again another episode ensued with some very unprofessional and rude togs from “that” country.

Ama Dablam (6,812 m) is a one of the most beautiful and impressive peaks of our planet. Ama Dablam means “Mother’s necklace”; the long ridges on each side like the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier thought of as the dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women. Martin Luther King, Jr. I “dedicate” this image to all the haters out there, you know who you are… those who preach:
• Don’t photograph in the same location that has been previously photographed (apparently they own the locations…)
• Don’t post process images because images should look “natural” (if there is such a thing…)
• Don’t attempt this composition because someone else has done it (apparently they think they can “copyright compositions” nowadays, or someone will come out with a book of compositions to avoid because it has been done…)
• If you don’t use 50+ layers of highly sophisticated post processing techniques your image won’t look good…
And the list goes on, but I will keep photographing because: I will stick with love instead of hate… Thank you all for stopping by!
