Concerns about 500px
1.One of my images recently was labeled as adult content, probably only because of the title which said : “Heating Up”, about a forest warming up in the sun. 500px replied it’s was not because of them, so what robot is?? 2. Today I discovered an increase of 1200 followers in day?? Normally I get an email when someone starts following me, but nope, not this time. The moment I posted an new image today, it stopped. 3. The I kiss your ass, you kiss mine policy seems to work well on 500px. Some people apparently have all day to do this.
4. I see lots of good images that never reach the higher ranks, such a shame

Brooklyn Cove Panorama by Edward Reese

This is a panoramic view of the little cove in the middle of Brooklyn Bridge Park.. This location has a beautiful view of the city and is framed by the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Always wanted to try this full panorama. Ended up getting kicked off the rocks just before sunset, but fortunately, I was able to sneak back on during blue hour and snap some shots. This ended up being a six-image stitch at about 60 second exposure times. Took some liberties scaling the final stitch to a format I liked, and also the reflection was enhanced in post.

The Wanderer by Michael Goh

Canon 6d Tamron 15-30mm F2.8 at F3.2 15mm ISO 6400 25s. Single image – no compositing or exposure blending and not even my usual panorama. From my previous image – Finding my way again – I went back to the dunes. I arrived before it got dark this time and managed to do an amount of scouting for compositions. Armed with visibility and a GPS I worked out a number of suitable locations and used photopills (app) to help with some of the visualisation. I prefer crescent moon lighting, but if I don’t have that – I will build the light. I was experimenting with a new setup this time. Will blog about it soon in more detail. webpage Facebook

you can also find my other works on INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK People often ask me if it is the same fisherman in my Li River Series. The answer is no, this one is the older brother whose teeth seem to be in much better shape than his 75 year-old younger brother. People often often ask me what are those birds, they are cormorants that help him catching fishes. Yes it is true they have strings on their necks so they won’t be able to swallow bigger catches that may sound crude… To them the fisherman is their family as they were rasied by him and they listen to his command. And trust me, they are well taken care of. People often often often ask me if they are real fishermen, they are and that’s their way of living some number of years ago. And yes they only model now near their village along the beautiful Li river, one really has to be there to experience the beautiful landscape and their awesomeness. Li River is really one of the most beautiful places on earth (if not the most), I was thrilled to check this off my bucket list, make it yours too if you ask me!
