Forces of Mountains by Marc Adamus

Some of the other mountains in southern Chile here, peaks that are about 9000 feet vertical above the glacier you see below. The giant spikes of ice called seracs make for a complex foreground but ultimately one I couldn’t pass up. The strong light and shadow at the time the atmosphere was best on the peaks made for an image that begged a B&W rendition. Thanks for looking.

Dolphin Phun by Marsel van Oosten

We just returned from this year’s Namibia Untamed photo tour, and it was awesome as always. Although it’s officially a landscape and night photography tour, there are plenty of opportunities to photograph the local wildlife as well. I haven’t had time yet to process any images, but here’s one from a boat trip that we did on the same tour last year. We chartered a boat for just our group to photograph pelicans, fur seals, and sea birds. The ocean here is very rich in nutrients, and therefore attracts a lot of sea life. On this particular boat cruise we were followed by a couple of dolphins, an amazing experience. – – – If you want to visit Namibia, look no further. We were the world’s first company to offer photography tours to Namibia, and there is no better organized Namibia tour out there. Also, we are still the only company that offers microlight flights over the famous Namibian sand dunes, which happens to be the best way to do aerial photography, and by far the most fun. We end the tour with a few days of serious safari in one of the best and most productive wildlife areas in Namibia – better than Etosha! Please check out our website for more information, images, video clips, and a very detailed tour PDF: Namibia Untamed

After Taliban music ban, songb...

From: Music

By Magdalena Mis LONDON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – When Louise Pascale, an American music teacher, pulled a three-decade-old Afghan children’s songbook from her bookcase, she realized she was likely holding a treasure lost to Afghan children following a music ban imposed by the Taliban. Playing instruments was banned during the period of Taliban rule in late-1990s Afghanistan, and even today, many conservative Muslims frown on most forms of music. “Musicians were practically losing their minds trying to hide their instruments under wood piles, thinking they were going to go crazy without any music and trying to practise in their heads at night,” Pascale told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Atmosphaera by Dany Eid

While most are still in bed lost in their dreams, i was out of bed around 4am to shoot the fog since the entire week a 100% humidity hit the city & at the same time i started to see the fog everywhere. however my access point was the 42 floor at Shagrilla hotel at Sheikh Zayed road & my target was to capture the iconic Burj Khalifa.
Around 4am the fog was hitting major part of city but hour before the sunrise started to vanish, i was disappointed because i wanted to capture the view with thick fog but suddenly during the sunrise i noticed this mist weather by having very low clouds covering mid of the buildings with a nice glowing effects & wonderful colors.

Apple Music Has Been Completel...

Apple Music Has Been Completely Redesigned To Take On SpotifyApple Music was supposed to be a streaming music titan, the Spotify killer the company needed. Instead it was just more or less Beats Music with a few different logos and a handful of tweaks. All that, however, is changing, as Apple is making a major bid for your eardrums.
