Milford Sound / Piopiotahi is a fiord in the south west of New Zealand’s South Island, within Fiordland National Park, Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) Marine Reserve, and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. It has been judged the world’s top travel destination in an international survey (the 2008 Travelers’ Choice Destinations Awards by TripAdvisor) and is acclaimed as New Zealand’s most famous tourist destination. Bedtime Stories by Elia Locardi

With multiple projects in Greece including working with the testing and recent releases of the Fujifilm X-T2 and Adobe Lightroom Mobile (plus a few more things to come), it has been a wild few months where I’ve had to keep many secrets about what I’ve been working on. This includes images like this one that I’ve been really looking forward to sharing. Greece is such a phenomenal country and Meteora was one of the very first locations I traveled to when I was building up my photography portfolio, so it has an extra special place in my heart. At the time, I couldn’t afford a camera and with our very minimal finances, we could only afford to be in Greece for a few days. I will always remember the kindness of my close friend John Mclaughlin for lending me his camera so that I could start capturing the images I would need to kick start my career in travel photography. Even though many years have passed since then, Meteora is as beautiful as ever. – Noodles (female, nearly 10 years old, Galgo Español mix, rescued from a kill shelter in Cadiz, Spain – the clown, unintentionally comic, eager, ambitious, with the friendliness of a sighthound and the work ethic of a German shepherd)
– Scout (female, 8 years old, Galgo Español mix, found with her seven siblings next to their dead mother somewhere in a field in Spain – the princess, sensitive, terrifyingly intelligent (thank goodness she doesn’t have thumbs), not a dog person, with the elegance and grace of a sighthound and the confidence in strangers of a Kangal) – Ioli (male, 5 years old, unknown mix – the charmer, one-eyed but not handicapped, always happy, noise sensitive, sweet as sugar)
