Tangle Peak
Alberta Do you shoot for yourself or do you shoot for others?
I feel like the correct thing to say is to say I shoot for myself because, hey, as an artist, it’s only what matters to me that counts right?
I actually don’t believe this to be true for most photographers, at least most who post and wish the public to see their work and hence it definitely isn’t true for me since I’m social media a lot!
At least some degree of photography my photography ( in fact a large part) is done for you , the audience. I’ve reached a stage in my photographic development that still craves improvement but is yet satisfied enough with the current work being produced. Part of that latter satisfaction is from the public acknowledgement , while most of the former knows that there is still much to learn from past and present greats. That’s my philosophical rant for the day which you shouldn’t take too seriously other than to view it as a window into my soul and motivations. Thanks for making it this far if you read it!
