In My Kingdom Cold by Ramunas K Fishermang

Welcome to my kingdom of cold. I spent the last day off I had this year in the nearby forestland. And I found myself walking around a misty cloud among utterly frozen scenery for a couple of hours. I heart winter. For two months we actually have constant golden hour for 4-5 hours straight. The photo is taken as two vertical panoramas to achieve a larger depth of field, manually stitched. I wanted to emphasize the leading lines and the frosty textures. Farther I wanted to emphasize the cold atmosphere, as it indeed was pretty chilly. The postprocessing involved a mix of of several layers of masks of contrast and brightness, a bit of unnatural color removal in the snow (green? where did that come from?). The main consideration for me was to make the photo pop a bit, without losing the feeling of these misty conditions. Lastly I did a slight warp to bring the foreground slightly to the right as it became a bit unbalanced, but it wasn’t much. What do you think? All sort of feedback is welcome. ..anyone get the title reference, please let me know.
