After the sunset, we went to dinner. Then we came back, hoping to see the beautiful green Auroras dancing in the sky. But not that night. Clouds were coming in above the beautiful Kirkjufell, and we knew that it were not to be in that night. But, as I was outside freezing at -10ºC I went for the composition anyway. No light at all, just guessing a good composition in the dark freezing night.
Then, in that night, the aurora was in Purple ways!! Did you know that the word “aurora” comes from the Latin word for “dawn, morning light”, since auroras were formerly thought to be the first light of dawn?
Me neither!!
