I had planned so many great trips this year. But because of the Corona-Virus I unfortunately had to cancel them all so far. Since I have made many wonderful trips in the past years and will do so again in the future, it would be ungrateful if I would complain about this year. What I learned this year: Be thankful, for what you’ve got.
By the way: This is the Gendarmenmarkt at dusk, a square in Berlin with the Berlin Concert Hall and the German Church (destroyed by fire in 1945, rebuild till 1993). Have a good one and stay healthy.

One of the things that amazes me most about these remote mountains the boundary range in Alaska is how you can be on a pinprick of land surrounded by an ocean of glacial ice on all sides, a region where more than 90% of the landscape is frozen year round, and if you look closely enough, having time camp and walk the south facing ridgelines, you can find these exquisite gardens complete with gorgeous blooms, lush greens and even the occasional hummingbird flying by, thousands of feet above the great rivers of ice. It’s a contrast that always leaves an impression on me and only occurs for a few weeks every year. This is from our campsite last week.
