Nearly missed this one, ran like the clappers and arrived just in time for the colour, half asleep and completely out of breath. Good times! Glenorchy is a small settlement at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu in the South Island region of Otago, New Zealand. Any favourites, likes or comments are always appreciated. Universal Music sues Monster o...
By Nate Raymond NEW YORK (Reuters) – Two Universal Music Group units sued Monster Beverage Corp on Wednesday for using music co-owned by the Beastie Boys in a promotional video, accusing the energy drink maker of copyright infringement. The lawsuit, filed in New York federal court, comes three months after the Beastie Boys obtained a $1.7 million verdict against Monster over copyrights for the same music. Dancing with the Waves by Marc Adamus
I was fortunate to find myself in Glacier this past week with a workshop. The breeze was kicking up on the lakes on this morning, eliminating the reflections. On this rocky shore, offering little in the way of interest, someone asked, of course, how I would make the picture. Tending to resist the same types of stuff done over and over again, I often respond by looking smaller, beyond the perspective that most commonly greets our eye. So I look at these little waves, only inches high, and I put my camera on the ground, right on top of a rock. Shooting at 1/8 of a second with my camera getting splashed, I took many shots focused for the foreground rocks and waves splashing off of them. It looks like an ocean now, but there isn’t anything (wave or rock) in the foreground of this image that is further than 15 inches from my lens! I take another shot for the background areas near the same time, dry off the lens, repeat process. We just got lucky with the light.

Gold of Aktru by Daniel Kordan
One of my most favorite places at Altay mountains – Aktru river. Snow has fallen all the night long, and morning sun just burnt graceful larches like pile of matches leaving them golden again.
2-row panorama shot on Nikon D800 + 24-70 Nikkor (24).
