Resilience by Josep Sumalla
Resilience by Josep Sumalla
Resilience is defined as an individual’s ability to properly adapt to stress and adversity. Stress and adversity can come in the shape of family or relationship problems, health problems, or workplace and financial worries, among others. Resilience is not a rare ability; in reality, it is found in the average individual and it can be learned and developed by virtually anyone. Resilience should be considered a process, rather than a trait to be had.

If only you fellow foxes would have loved you like humans did….
Rest in peace, beautiful girl, you’ll be missed in a way not many wild animals have ever been missed before… I’ll always remember you, how you shone in the sunlight, with your long, beautiful nose in the air.

Dormant Icon by Paul Zizka
I made the annual solo winter jaunt up to Moraine Lake a couple of nights ago. Sure, you don’t have the turquoise this time of year. A few things easily make up for that: a snow-filled and pristine vista, no light pollution, no generator noise, and no other human for at least another 10km. I don’t mind the company, but sometimes it’s nice to see places looking like they did 100 years ago.
