It was taken two years ago, time flies, and I still remember after I landed Lofoten first time, a beautiful winter wonderland.

Abraham Lake, Canada by Vinci Palad
Travelled to Canada this year to see these amazing patterns of methane bubbles in Abraham lake. I have never walked on a frozen lake before so this was a pretty crazy experience for me. The first day we came was quite scary. There was no one around, which I typically enjoy, except that this time I was afraid of the possibility that we might fall through the Ice and lose consciousness and there would be no one there to save us. We chose not to wear crampons, which was probably not the best idea safety wise, but we did it to avoid ruining our potential foreground. As we walked through the lake, I swear every step felt and sounded like imminent death! I could hear every crack with every step. Some parts were covered in snow which made me even more uncomfortable. I was seriously freaked out! but then I saw this guy from quite a distance away and he seemed to be ice skating. He was too far so it was hard to know for certain what he was doing. On our way back, we stopped by where he was parked and he told us he was playing hockey with his friends! I was so relived and excited to try again the next day after he said that! Took this photo the following afternoon. Wind was pretty crazy. I left my tripod standing not too far from me while I search for my foreground and the wind blew it about 100 feet across the lake without it falling down 🙂 It was pretty amazing! Like I said I wasn’t wearing any crampons so I had to literally get on my stomach every time the wind blows so as to not injure myself. Lucky we came out to shoot that afternoon though. It snowed pretty heavy that night and the lake stayed covered the entire week! Anyway’s really enjoyed Canada. Really liked Banff. I wanna move there someday! hehe! Did you know they have an awesome new gym?… Very clean locker rooms! haha just thought I’d add that here! LOL.

Palestinians teach blind stude...
Palestinian students at an elementary school for the blind in the West Bank are learning English through songs. "We are dealing with students with special needs, they are blind or visually impaired, so we urge them to depend on their hearing sense more than their sense of touch that they use in braille." But while students said they were delighted with the new curriculum, some parents in the religiously conservative town of Hebron are concerned the use of music in the classroom is not in harmony with Islamic tradition. Rashid Rashid, English-language studies supervisor at the Palestinian Ministry of Education, said he has been assuring families that music can be a positive learning tool.
