The Journey of Fog by Sebastian Tontsch
There is one shot that everyone wants to have of Dubai and thats a shot of the city covered in thick fog . Its very rare to see dense fog in Dubai and when it comes into the city from the desert you have to be in the right place at the right time which most of the times is the early morning hours. I was chasing this shot for two years and today finally the weather gods were kind enough to give me this great fog but not only that , clouds were forming aswell which is a very rare thing , there are not many pictures of Dubai covered in fog with clouds in at the same time . 2 Exposure blend , 1 shorter exposure for he highlights .

I’m shooting on daily basis since almost 2 weeks, a different type of weather and the show goes on. Was very lucky to capture this foggy moment with a little storm.

Another version of one of my favourite shots from last year, I managed to convince my beautiful partner Erica to dress up as a wizard holding a walking stick with a electric candle taped to it, whilst hiking castle hill near midnight and posing for me 😉 awesome wife!

Finding inspiration, having the mind clear, the senses sharp doesn´t happen every time we grab our gear. Having a second of luck either. Thought in some occasions we have the chance to testify a single moment when magic appears. This was what happened to me last Sunday. Due to the 2 second delay I always use when I have the camera on the tripod, I managed to get home this image when the sun peek between the clouds during sunset. My heart get conquer by the amazing shadows and orange light that made me felt alive in that single second. It happened in a blink of an eye and I got it. If you are interested in my work, you can also read some of my articles about photography – iso.500px.com/?s=pedro+quintela And be part of our amazing Facebook group called Photo Reflections, where everyone matters despite the level of your skills – www.facebook.com/groups/1028101767252024/ Happy Shooting!!
