Polls prove young voters love Bernie Sanders, and the Vermont senator's campaign is fully capitalizing on that by throwing a mini-version of Coachella. A two-day block party that's affectionately being dubbed "Berniechella" will take place in Old Town Coachella on April 21 and 22, reports the Desert Sun, just prior to the iconic music festival's second weekend.

Zaanse Schans – The Netherlands by Andreas Grund
Since I stayed only three days this time here in Holland, this Saturday evening was the only opportunity to visit the famous Zaanse Schans. Therefore I was a little bit nervous about the weather before but fortunately I had luck. There was no exceptional sunset but I found an interesting sky with some clouds and the wind was weak leading to a calm water. The last point is essential to see the reflection in the water. Here in Zaanse Schans I met the 500px fotographer Michael van der Burg and we took some pictures together in our little international dutch-german photowalk 🙂 Zaanse Schans itself is a picturesque UNESCO-listed village in North Holland, not far from Amsterdam. I took this photo a few minutes after the lights were switched on in the very early Blue Hour. Single exposure with real reflections as usual – developed in LR from raw.

Miracle on the Mountain by Nathaniel Merz
Okay, a bit of hyperbole in the title there but as anyone who lives in South Korea can tell you, we just don’t get lucky very often with the weather. It is often a choice between clear cloudless skies or socked in fog and haze. My friend and I decided to head out to this mountain on a grey and rainy afternoon and after hiking up into a thick cloud for over an hour we got to this spot and it cleared in a matter of moments. Can’t say I have ever been so lucky in two years of taking pictures here.

Vastness of Namibia by Martin ...
Vastness of Namibia by Martin Krajczy
This is a panorama shot out of eight single frames. It is taken the flanking bench of the Namib desert. This valley is unbelievable. If you are lucky you can see two endangered species in this valley – desert elephants and rhinos. It is an awesome view and fantastic place to relax and come down just for hours into the vastness in front of you.

Surreal beauty by Martin Krajczy
This elephant is standing in the middle of an periodic stream in the Namib desert. This periodic river is changing within a few miles from a very dry river bed to a green river full of grass. This is due to the rock formations below. Therefore the ground water level is very high and the vegetation is surreal for this dry landscape. In the background you can see the red grante mountains and the lava stones…. a very dry region… since years no rain…but beautiful grass within this riverbed .. really surreal. The desert elephants are an endangered species…roughly 100 – 150 are living in the different periodic streams and the surrounding mountains of the Namib desert. This is one of the most fascinating landscapes for me in Namibia.

Yasaka jinja at night, kyoto by PAkDocK @PAkDocK
Yasaka jinja shrine is a Shinto shrine in the Gion District of Kyoto, Japan. A division from old and new, a 1350 years old shrine at one side, and the busy and crowded Shio Dori on the other. With a long exposure, the mix between traditional and modern japan comes out, just at the gate, like a border between two countries or centuries.
