Fox Orders the Jack Bauer-Free...
If you're into original ideas, then go ahead and press back on your browser right now or throw whatever device your are reading this on in a lake. Fox has dipped into its well of IP and also ordered a series that's a direct descendant of its biggest hit because hey, if it worked once, it will might hopefully could work again. First up is a full series order for 24: Legacy , the latest addition to the 24 franchise and the first without the character who is synonymous with 24 and oh god really? Why? 24: Legacy will not feature Jack Bauer, the CTU agent made famous by Kiefer Sutherland, instead following a brand-new lead character who gets embroiled in the same counter-terrorism drama that Jack did. Where's Jack? Maybe he's chillin' in Palm Springs or in anger management therapy. As previously announced, Corey Hawkins ( The Walking Dead 's Heath) stars as Eric Carter, who is not Jack Bauer. Carter is a former Army Ranger who ends up joining the CTU to stop a terrorist attack or plan or I don't know, some bad guys from doing something. Though we may never hear Bauer's "Damn!" again, the rest of 24 's trademarks—real-time, split-screen, each episode representing an hour in a day—will stay in place. Jimmy Smits will play a senator in the show. Fox also looked at its current shows and said, " Empire is paying the bills, can we get another Empire ?" BLAMMO! I present Star , from Lee Daniels. Star follows a trio of young female singers (played by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O'Grady) as they plow through the rough music industry to become, yes, stars. It will feature original music and "stunning musical fantasy sequences." Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt are also in the cast. Both shows are being prepped for the 2016-2017 season. Whoa whoa whoa! Did Fox just order two series that don't feature a contractor with special skills working with the police in mismatched fashion? They did! Which of these shows sounds better to you?

I just re-processed this image. I wasn’t happy with the original and wanted to showcase the excellent clear light we had that evening. This was that moment as a the sun starts to come out from behind a cloud. Not yet full strength, but and in between light that really accentuated the details well. I created this image using the techniques covered in my latest instructional video. In the video I illustrate how I use the powerful tools and techniques available in Lightroom and Photoshop along with the TKActions V4 Panel to achieve an incredible level of control throughout my workflow. Snapped this shot of Hannah using dual LED ring lights. One ring has an RGB strip to help add some colour. Check my links. ♥ Instagram | FB | Ring Light Tutorial | LR + PS Presets | www.photofiend.com | GWC.LIFE

Rowena by Ryan Buchanan
Sunrise: Rowena Crest in full bloom — No wind: Check. No rain: Check. Massive dark cloud slicing down the middle of the fame: CHECK! Not the best for the comp and cut off from any direct light but still tried to make something work here… This was my first trip up to Oregon for a fun week of shooting thanks to an invite from my pal, Miles Morgan. And so our Rowena shoot was the kickoff point on our 1,600+ mile journey around the entire state searching for some good conditions… Although our efforts were largely unrewarded in the light department, I got the royal Oregon tour and had a blast with a good friend. For this image, I stack focused 6 shots for sharpness throughout. With the direct warm light blocked, I found it more difficult to keep those color tones in check, especially with the cooler foreground. Even still, the intense color of the sky against those yellow flowers was hard to balance. Thanks for looking and I appreciate your likes and comments.
