Landscape photography Location: Seljalandfoss, Iceland 2016 This image was made right after I arrived to the Seljalandfoss parking space, during the June 2016 trip. The clouds were warming up before midnight, and I got the usual impulse of going straight to the waterfall base and shoot from there. All of a sudden this purplish red cloud starts coming right from behind the waterfall and I instinctively decided I had to capture it, trying a new visual approach for this iconic spot. Using a vibrant plant in the foreground, the river stream as guiding line and mirroring the cloud in the water, this is the final result.

The Strawberry Supermoon! by Kingshuk Bose

This photo shows the Strawberry full supermoon setting behind the Sakonnet Lighthouse in Little Compton, Rhode Island! Moonset was relatively early — around 4:40 AM. Hence we had to set the alarm at 2:30 AM to be able to reach the site on time and set up the gear! A perfectly clear horizon, which is somewhat rare in our neck of the woods, helped immensely. We were able to capture the full moon all the way as it went down the horizon! If you zoom into the area on top of the lighthouse, you will notice the silhouette of a bird sitting on the railings! I wish my 500px friends a healthy and happy week ahead!
